Payment reminders and overdue rent

When rent is late, Flatren makes it visible and gives you a gentle way to follow up. Here's how overdue works and how to nudge the other party.

When a payment goes overdue

A request that's still Pending when it passes its due date flips to Overdue automatically — a scheduled server sweep handles it, so you don't have to chase the date yourself. A payment that's already Sent stays under Sent even if it's late; only pending requests go overdue. (For the full set of states, see how rent payments work.)

Nudge a late payer

On an overdue row, the requestor can tap the bell () to send the payer a push reminder. It's a friendly nudge — no awkward message to write.

Payment notifications

Flatren can notify you about payments at each step:

• A new request arrives
• Rent due soon
• Rent overdue
• A payment sent
• A payment confirmed
• A payment cancelled
