How rent payments work

Rent in Flatren moves through a simple lifecycle. On a paired lease the landlord and tenant pass each payment back and forth until it's confirmed; on a solo lease the lone party just marks it paid.

The lifecycle on a paired lease

  1. The landlord requests rent

A request starts as Pending and lands with the tenant. Open Payments and tap AddTenant paymentSend request.

  2. The tenant marks it sent

The tenant taps Mark as sent. A sheet shows the payee's accepted methods — Revolut, Bunq, Monzo or PayPal — plus "Other", and an optional note. The status becomes Sent.

  3. The landlord confirms it

The landlord taps Confirm once the money lands. The payment is now Confirmed — the terminal, done state.

The main statuses

A payment is always in one of these: Pending, Sent, Confirmed (or Paid on a solo lease), Overdue, or Cancelled. A pending request that passes its due date becomes Overdue; a sent payment never does. The creator can tap Cancel payment to move a request to Cancelled — it's terminal and drops into history. Nothing is ever deleted.
