Logging a past payment

Collected rent before you started using the app, or took a payment by cash or transfer? Log it as a past payment so your history is complete. This is for one-off historical entries — to backfill a whole schedule, see backdated leases and past rent.

Log the payment

  1. Open Payments and add an entry

    On the Payments tab, tap AddTenant payment.

  2. Turn on "Has this already been paid?"

    Flip the Has this already been paid? toggle. The form switches to a historical entry and the button becomes Log payment.

  3. Fill in the details

    Pick the Lease (required) and a Category — Rent, Deposit, Utility, Repair, or Other — then set Who's paying, the Paid on date (must be in the past), and the Amount (required). A description is optional, and you can attach up to 3 images or PDFs as evidence.

  4. Save it

    Tap Log payment.

Once logged, the payment shows up in history alongside everything else, so the full lifecycle and your records line up.
