How to add a unit
A unit lives inside a property — it's the room, studio or flat a tenant actually rents. It's also what a lease attaches to, so you'll add at least one before you can start tracking rent.
Add the unit
Open the property
From the Properties tab, tap the property the unit belongs to. You'll land on its detail screen.
Tap Add
In the property's Units section, tap the button. The Add unit screen opens, with the subtitle "Inside {property name}" so you know where it lands.
Name the unit
Name is the only required field — it's marked with an asterisk. Use whatever distinguishes it, e.g. "Room 1", "Studio" or "Basement".
Add a description (optional)
The Description field is optional — a quick note like "En-suite, south-facing" helps you tell units apart later.
Save
Tap Save. The unit appears under the property, ready for its first lease.
What's next
With the unit in place, create a lease on it to set the rent and invite your tenant.
