Switching between landlord and tenant

Plenty of people rent out one place while renting another. Flatren supports dual-role users, so you can be both a landlord and a tenant on one account and switch between views whenever you need to.

What the active role changes

Your active role decides which tabs you see. As a landlord you get Properties; as a tenant you get Leases. Everything else — Payments, Records, Alerts and Profile — is shared across both.

A role pill sits in the nav bar's leading slot. Tapping it jumps straight to your Profile, where the switch lives.

Switch your view

  1. Open Profile

Tap your Profile tab, or tap the role pill in the nav bar to land there directly.

  2. Find the Role section

Scroll to the Role section. The control is labeled Switch — an icon stacked with "Switch" / "View".

  3. Confirm the switch

A sheet confirms before anything changes. Switching to the tenant view shows Switch to tenant view? — "Your tabs will change to show leases and payments you make as a tenant." Switching to the landlord view shows Switch to landlord view? — "Your tabs will change to show properties, units, and payments you collect as a landlord."
