Getting started as a landlord

Flatren keeps your rentals in one place — properties, units, leases, rent and records. Getting going is four short steps, and most landlords are done in a few minutes.

The first-run path

  1. Add a property

Start with the building or address you rent out. Add the property from the Properties tab — a name is all you need.

  2. Add a unit inside it

Add the unit your tenant rents — a room, studio or the whole flat. A unit is what a lease attaches to.

  3. Create a lease on the unit

Open the unit and create a lease with the rent, currency and start date. This is what drives rent requests and history.

  4. Invite your tenant

Saving the lease gives you an invite link and QR code to share. Once your tenant accepts, the lease goes active.

Find your way around

Your tabs as a landlord are Properties, Payments, Records, Alerts and Profile.

Once the tenant joins, rent requests start flowing under Payments, and you can log activity and evidence as records against the lease.
