What are records

Records let you log activities and evidence against a lease, unit, or property — a meter reading, a request to the other party, a photo of damage. Some can be confirmed by the other side, so there's a shared trail.

The six record types

Each type has its own icon and purpose:

  • Reading — a utility meter reading.
  • Request — ask the other party for something.
  • Condition — damage or condition photos.
  • Visit — an inspection or viewing.
  • Notice — a formal notice.
  • Note — a free-form note.

Create a record

  1. Start a new record

From the Records tab, tap Add and pick the lease. Or use the "+ Record" button on a lease, unit, or property detail — the scope is pre-selected for you.

  2. Pick a type and fill it in

Choose the Type from the pill selector, then add a Title (required, keep it short) and Details (required). Set the Date it happened — it defaults to today. You can attach up to 5 files.

  3. Request confirmation (optional)

On a paired lease, toggle Request confirmation to send the other party a notification so they can confirm or dispute the record.

  4. Submit

Tap Submit. The record is logged and, if you asked for confirmation, waits on the other party.

Confirmation flow

A record that needs acknowledgement moves through states. After you submit, it's awaiting — the counterparty taps Confirm or Dispute. From disputed, you can respond and they can Decline or Confirm. You can Cancel any time to withdraw it. Records without confirmation are simply logged.
